Meet Dr. Lana Trotter, PhD, LPC

As a lifelong athlete, along with my expertise in mental health, I am passionate about guiding athletes through many of life’s challenges off the court. I offer individual counseling services for those 14 years old and above.

I specialize in: sports counseling, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, injury recovery, life transitions, self-esteem, eating disorder recovery, grief, and pre/postpartum depression.

    Whole Healing

As athletes, our worth is often defined by our performance. Yet life’s many events impact our experiences of “who we are” off the field. I believe that prioritizing the “person” over performance is paramount to achieving balance. You will be encouraged to explore and discover all the parts of your story that make you, you.

    Safe Therapeutic Environment

My goal as your counselor is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable exploring what is important to you. I am committed to providing a culturally competent practice where I continually strive to grow in knowledge and understanding of how your experiences of culture impact you. Additionally, I lead with a trauma-informed approach to provide emotional safety for my clients when sharing parts of their story that are harder to tell.
